New ministerial assignments took effect last week [1]

Ministerial Re-assignment
His Majesty's Cabinet underwent changes last week with the re-assignment of five ministerial portfolios as appointed by His Majesty, on the advice of the Prime Minister, Lord Tu'ivakano.
The Minister for Finance, Hon Sunia Manu Fili has taken on the additional portfolio of revenue collection becoming the Minister for Finance, National Planning and Revenue Services.
Hon Lisiate 'Aloveita 'Akolo has assumed the important law enforcement responsibilities as the new Minister for Police, Prisons and Fire Services.
Hon 'Isileli Pulu is the new Minister for Labour, Commerce and Industries and Dr the Hon Viliami Uasike Latu, the new Minister for Tourism.
Hon William Clive Edwards took on the justice portfolio to become the Minster for Justice and Public Enterprises.
The new ministerial appointments took effect 31 August 2011 and 1 September 2011.
