Tonga's official Foreign Reserves held by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga for May fell by half a million pa'anga to $132.1 million, the equivalent of 4.6 months of imports of goods.
A statement from the NRBT said the slight decrease of the foreign reserves was due to higher official payments made out during the month.
Although the May Foreign Reserves fell from April it remains the second highest so far for the year and higher than the $89.5 million recorded in May, 2008.
