The Conservative Alliance Matanitu Vanua Party CAMV condemns any action by the Pcific Forum to suspend Fiji at the meeting in Port Moresby on January 27.
Party Spokesman, Ropate Sivo says:
"CAMV condemns any move by New Zealand, Australia and Samoa to have Fiji suspended from the Forum."
"CAMV calls upon the Melanesian Brotherhood of Nations to stand beside Fiji at this critical time. I plead with Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea to vote against the Motion that is being engineered by New Zealand, Australia, Samoa and the Polynesian and Micronesian members of the Forum."
"CAMV sees this as a silent move by Samoa so that it can have the Forum Headquarters moved to Samoa and this is being backed by New Zealand. They have succeeded in having a Samoan as the Secretary General of the Forum."
"CAMV will stand up for Fiji and her people, regardless of ethnic and gender. We are all Fijians! Anything that is against Fiji is what we will fight against strongly!"
"CAMVwants to hear from communi9ty leaders of Melanesians, Micronesians and Polynesians living in Fiji on their call to their Governments to not support Fiji's suspension."
"CAMV will not stand back and watch Fiji's Sovereignty being treated like a small boy." CAMV, 13/01/09.
