Two Tongan nationals in police detention in Korovou will be flown out of the country on the first available flight to Tonga.
According to the Immigration Department, the two are being sent back to Tonga to answer to charges and possible investigation into corrupt practices in Government departments.
Police spokeswoman Ema Mua said one of the two men was under surveillance by the Transnational Crimes Unit after it was discovered that he was involved in a money laundering scam.
The Unit however could not trace the man as he was constantly changing his address.
Last Friday, the TCU along with Immigration officers raided a house in Delainavesi, arresting the man and another Tongan national living with him.
It is believed that the Tongan authorities have been notified and they will proceed to charge the man upon his arrival in Tonga. Fijilive, 23/12/08.
