Tongan police return to Solomons [1]

Tonga police officers returning to duty in the Solomons, were pictured at the Fua'amotu International Airport, Tonga on December 18.
Seven Tongan police officers returned to the Solomon Islands on December 18 after a 10-day leave in Tonga.
Tonga has 10 police officers with the Pacific Intervention Force in the Solomons, and while seven officers spent their leave at home, the other three went to New Zealand.
Deputy Commander of Police Taniela Faletau, said that the police officers were deployed to the Solomons for six months. They carry out normal police work in the Solomons, such as patrolling, crime prevention and the arresting of drunks in public places.
