Coronation to be held at Centenary Church [1]

It is anticipated that the Centenary Church will undergo renovations work, but no one was available today from the Free Wesleyan Church office to comment on the preparations.
Sports events
Celebrations will begin in the capital with various sports activities, including aquatic sports like rowing and swimming as well as a coronation marathon, rugby, volleyball and more.
Other celebrations prior to the coronation day will include a Taumafakava (traditional royal kava ceremony), a military parade, Traditional Dancing and presentations as well as a Tupakapakanava (torch lighting ceremony).
It is also expected during the celebrations that awards and medals will be presented.
As from last year, August 1 has been made a public holiday in Tonga to commemorate HM...s birthday, originally June 4 but moved to coincide with his coronation this year.
