Govt offices close from Dec 22-Jan 1 [1]

The Tonga Government will officially close down at the end of next week for its Christmas and New Year holidays, and reopen in the New Year.
Paula Ma'u the Deputy Secretary of the Prime Minister's office confirmed today that Government would close down at 4:30pm next Friday, their last working day for 2007.
They will be back on duty at 8:30 am on January 2, 2008.
Other essential government services, such as airport services, the wharf and the hospital will be working throughout the holiday period. 

The Customs and Quarantine services will also be open during certain hours during the holidays.
