Hundreds of Tonga College students and ex-students celebrated the 125th anniversary of their school with a colourful parade this morning.
The parade was led by the school brass band from Lopaukamea II to the Tonga College School ground on Taufa'ahau road at Ha'ateiho.
Also marching were several elderly ex-students of the school including Masao Soakai, Siake Sake, Salesi Tautakitaki and Taniela Taumalolo.
The students and ex students dressed smartly in the red and white colour of their school marched to the Tonga College school ground Manamo'ui and held a school roll call.
A wreath laying ceremony was held at the Royal Tombs on Wednesday, October 24.
The celebration will continue tomorrow October 27, with a special commemoration service led by ex-student Rev. Luke Sikalu, with HM King George V as the guest of honour.
King George Tupou I established Tonga College on October 30, 1882.
