Truth and knowledge set you free [1]

Editor,
I was reading the letter entitled 'We want greater freedom' [2] and again was baffled by the logorrhea (though I must admit it is a bit tidier than his counterpart from the land down-under who had written a few letters ago). Anyhow, it has become wearisome listening to the regurgitating arguments/complaints/crying of the pro-temo's. One has to be mathematically challenged to say that the taxes of Tonga are "heavy" and "burdensome", and the audacity of the statement that questions the intelligence of readers of Matangitonga Online makes me want to say, "think out of the box man!" or "man, are you living in a box?"
And about the "God given nature to be free", freedom can be interpreted in two ways which both lead to two possible ends. Truth/knowledge sets you free, and lawlessness is freedom (freedom in the short-run at least). Be not surprised to know that the definition of sin is "lawlessness" and of course the other one Jesus said. Another common analogy used to describe the difference of freedom and freedom is the root meanings of the Tongan words tau'ataina and faiteliha. I believe that the pro-temo's are talking about one type of freedom and this has already led to dire consequences. I mean look at the lawlessness of 16/11 (hoiiii, how do they do it? I need to build my wind stamina)
And about "we this" and "we that" kataki pe siana 'o fai ho'o tohi ko e lau pe 'a koe he ko koe pe 'oku fakamo'oni 'i lalo ka e tuku 'a e kakai ke fai ha'anau lau. Tuku kehe ange kapau 'oku 'i ai ha ngaahi le'o 'oku nau kalanga atu kiate koe ke toki 'omai ha vai 'avanga meia Mapa. I mean if you at least were a chosen people's rep. to parliament then maybe, but stop putting words in the people's mouths or at least give the editor a petition with the consenting individuals of your letter to the editor.
Truth be told, I actually find the mud throwing on the pro-temo's quite refreshing, especially since they have been dishing it out to Government for so long. Makes you think twice about what you say when you know that when you throw mud on someone else they can throw mud back, doesn't it! What goes around comes around.
Mr. Editor, practice your constitutional given rite for freedom of expression and keep it coming.
Malo,
mauitekelangi
