Tonga's Australia Alumni Association launched [1]

The Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Downer launched the first Australia-Tonga Alumni Association during his visit on July 16.
AT a cocktail function held at the Australian High Commission residence to launch the new association, Mr Downer told the gathering that Tongans would always be welcome to study in Australia.
The Tonga-Australia Association is an association that aims at bringing together all Tongans who have studied in Australia and to date a total of 150 people have registered. The Australian High Commission office expected more people to join later.
The function was attended by Tongan alumni's including the founder of 'Atenisi University Professor Futa Helu, senior nurse 'Ana Kavaefiafi, Noble Tu'ipelehake and many others.
Hon Tu'a Taumoepeau represented the Government of Tonga and also present was the Minister of Transport Paul Karalus.
