Anthony Tu'itavake the center winger for the Junior All Blacks rugby team visited Tonga last week while on a fortnight's break after winning the 2007 IRB Pacific Cup Tournament.
Anthony gave away his No. 11 jersey to newly established sports bar 'Shooters' on Vuna Road, Nuku'alofa. The jersey will be the first to be framed and put up in the bar. He hopes that by showing his support other Tongan high profile players will also donate their jerseys to the sports bar.
Anthony who was in Tonga with his father, Heneli, said that he wanted to apply for his Tongan passport, which he can safely do now, under the recently passed Dual Citizenship Act.
"I have been playing for the JAB for two years and the most highlighted game was playing against the 'Ikale Tahi team at the Teufaiva Stadium last month during the Pacific Cup.
"This was a very special occasion because this was the first time I played on my home turf and having my family watching was great", he said.
Anthony planned to return to New Zealand this week and go straight into playing in JAB in the Air New Zealand Cup competition.
