Rugby clinics for Tonga's youth are in operation until Saturday in different parts of Tongatapu.
Conducted by Macquarie Bank Executive Director Guy Reynolds and a staff of 20, the clinics were held in Fua'amotu on Wednesday and are set for Takuilau College on Friday and 'Apifo'ou College on Saturday.
According to the secretary of the organizing company, Pacific Islands Sports Collective, Tania 'Otukolo, the clinics aim to supply children with sports gear and encourage them to develop their sports interests.
The company was founded by 'Inoke 'Afeaki and Tania 'Otukolo and the clinics will be attended by up to 20 students from all Tongatapu primary schools. Students attending the clinics will be given a rugby ball, boot bag and a tee shirt each.
Macquarie Bank has run similar clinics in Tongatapu since 2005. Last year it funded the Pacific Islands Sports Awards held here in Tonga. Pacific Islands Sports Collective Ltd, 13/04/07.
