Editor,
Thank you Mr Holiday for selling Shoreline, you are doing a very good job. Perhaps the King and his business partner should hire you to be their PR man. I am beginning to warm to the idea that the company is a good investment. Love the soppy ending.
"Thank you Shoreline for your outstanding performance and great sacrifice, Oh! How predictable. Pass the tissue please. Only joking".
The current situation is this - Government can't afford to buy back Shoreline because the asking price is $60 millions, which in my opinion is well over its price tag. It will be a financial disaster for Tonga if the Government ends up buying Shoreline back for the asking price. It would not be a financial disaster however, if the Government bought it back for $1.00 then floated the company on the World Stock Market. This is something new to Tonga, but I believe it is worth considering. On the other hand, the King and his financial partner could try their luck on the Stock Market.
I guarantee you that if the King decides to float his company on the Stock Market, thousands of us, Tongans from abroad; will be ready to buy up the shares. Just get it valued properly please.
