King Tupou V to attend Mass in Niuafo'ou [1]

The new king of Tonga, HM King George Tupou V, will make his first Royal Tour of the outer islands on October 8 to attend Sunday church services.
The office of the Lord Chamberlain in Nuku‘alofa confirmed today that the king will attend Sunday services at the Free Wesleyan Churches in Vava‘u, Ha‘apai, ‘Eua and Niuatoputapu, except in Niuafo‘ou where he will be attending a Catholic Mass because of the large number of Catholics there.
The visits to each island will be made during the weekends, beginning this weekend.
The King, accompanied by his niece Princess Latufuipeka Tuku‘aho will attend his first church service of the tour in Ha...apai on October 8, followed by Vava...u on October 15, Niuatoputapu on October 22, Niuafo‘ou on October 29 and ending in ‘Eua on November 5. The king will travel on Air Peau Vava‘u and return to Nuku'alofa during the weekdays.
