Chinese Foreign Minister jets into Tonga [1]

The Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, HE Mr Li Zhaoxing will arrive in Tonga tomorrow afternoon, August 2.
Mr Li Zhaoxing who is accompanied by an eight-member delegation will spend the night in Tonga and will continue on his tour of the region on Thursday afternoon.
The delegation are travelling on a private jet aircraft, and they have visited other Pacific Island countries before their Tonga stop over.
Zhang Denghua from the Chinese Embassy in Nuku'alofa said that Mr Li Zhaoxing's visit is an official one and a detailed program of his visit will be released by the Tongan Ministry for Foreign Affairs before his arrival.
In May the Chinese Vice-Minister for Tourism, Hon. Mr Zhang Xigin, visited Tonga following the China-Pacific Leaders Forum in Fiji in April, but this is the first visit to Tonga by a Chinese Cabinet Minister.
The Tongan Prime Minister, Hon. Dr Feleti Sevele will host a reception in honour of HE Mr Li Zhaoxing tomorrow evening at the 'Api-'o e-Konisela, the former residence of the British High Commissioner to Tonga.
