Two wins for Tonga A at WR Americas Pacific Challenge [1]

The Tonga A rugby team collected two wins out of three games at the World Rugby Americas Pacific Challenge 2017 held in Montevideo, Uruguay from October 7 – 15. Tonga A defeated Canada A (31 – 15) and Samoa A (31 – 28). Their only lost was to hosts Uruguay A (34 – 25).
Despite the disappointing loss to Uruguay, Tonga A ended the tournament on a positive note when they narrowly defeated Samoa A 31 -28 in what was perhaps the most exciting game of the tournament. The nail-biting contest could have gone either way with five tries scored by Tonga A and four scored by Samoa A.
The tournament winners were Argentina XV who completely outclassed all of their opponents. Argentina XV defeated Samoa A (85 – 14), Uruguay A (82 – 7) and Canada A (71 – 17).
