College head tutor third victim of NZ bus crash [1]

The head tutor of the Mailefihi Siu’ilikutapu College, Leotisia Malakai Manu (55) died at the Waikato Hospital yesterday, 1 January 2017, from injuries suffered in a bus crash in New Zealand, on December 24.
Leotisia is the third victim of the fatal road accident. A bus carrying 53 students and their supporters, on a fund-raising trip to New Zealand, went off the road south of Gisborne, on Christmas Eve.
New Zealand Police this morning reported Leotisia died at the Waikato Hospital yesterday afternoon.
She had suffered serious injuries and was transferred from the Gisborne Hospital to Waikato Hospital, the day after the accident.
A spokesperson from the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga office in Neiafu, Vava’u, confirmed that Leotisia was the head tutor of the college and the leader of the group, visiting New Zealand.
