Heavy flooding in Fiji has prompted over 1,400 residents to move to local Evacuation Centres. The flooding comes after a week of constant rain which has caused landslides and shut down roads.
According to the National Disaster Management office in Fiji there are now 1,423 evacuees staying in evacuation centers across Fiji.
Local media reports say that floods are receeding but flood warnings are still in place for low lying areas. No fatalities have been reported.
