Tongans set personal best times in NZ ocean swim [1]

Three teenage Tongan swimmers set personal best times in the annual King of the Bays 2.8km ocean swim at Milford Beach, New Zealand on 2 April.
The Tongan Team, led by Team Manager, Fehoko Tuivai, included Calina Panuve (18), Finau ‘Ohuafi (15), and Noelani Day (12).
Finau Ohuafi finished the swim in 00:44:02, 19 minutes ahead of his previous personal best and placed 305 out of 938 participants (433 out of 773 male participants). In his category male aged 15-19, he placed 27th out of 34.
Noelani Day finished the swim in 00:45:35, 13 minutes ahead of her previous personal best and placed 381 out of 938 participants (129 out of 394 female participants). In her category female aged 0-14, she placed 19th out of 26.
Calina Panuve finished the swim in 01:00:05, 10 minutes ahead of her previous personal best and placed 840 out of 938 participants (340 out of 394 female participants). In her category female aged 15-19, she placed 29th out of 30.
The three swimmers also took part in a 300m Tag Team Relay and placed 8th out of 17 teams.
The swimmers returned to Tonga on 4 April and are now preparing for their next event, a 5km open water swim in June.
