New water system for Houma, 'Eua [1]

A new spring water system for Houma village on the outer island of ‘Eua was commissioned on Monday, 11 January.
The project funded with $130,000 pa’anga of Chinese aid, included a new solar pump that brings spring water from Vai-'a-Hina and transferred to more than 50 houses in the village.
Chinese Ambassador HE Huang said we all know how important water is for our life and he was pleased that with joint efforts from the community and all sides, the project was finished before Christmas last year.
Villagers from Houma will no longer need to worry about water shortages, he said.
