‘Aisake Tuiono, the former Chief Accountant of the Tonga Electric Power Board is now the head of two new companies, Global Import and Export, and Global Finance and Business Development. ‘Aisake resigned from the TEPB early this year to set up the companies in Nuku‘alofa.
He said that the names are self explanatory, Global Import and Export will be dealing with the importing of consumer and electronic goods and the exporting of marine and agricultural products. With Finance ‘Aisake said he will be looking at banking.
Anew hardware store on Hala Taufa‘ahau, at Havelu, is focusing on American paint products.
PAC Sale is a co-venture between Tommy Fa of Vava‘u and Sepp Steffany of American Samoa.
Colin Latu, is the managing director of the company in Nuku‘alofa. He said to get the exact match of paint colour they can scan, analyse and match the colours. The company also imports furniture and carpets.
