Forgery case adjourned [1]

Four Tongan nationals who have been charged with forgery, receiving bribery and related charges, regarding a complaint over a passport application that allegedly involved a forged birth certificate, had their case adjourned to Monday, 23 November.
Sosefo Sione Vehikite ‘Ahohako of Longolongo, Sioeli Heleta of Kolofo’ou, Ola Feauna Tameifuna of Kolofo'ou and ‘Isikeli Kaumavae of ‘Utulau appeared at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 9 November.
It is understood that two of these accused were employed with the Ministry of Justice when they allegedly committed these offences.
Two men of Chinese origin had also appeared and charged in relation to being the alleged applicants for the forged Tongan passports.
Police carried out the investigation following a complaint made by Tonga Immigration in October.
