Parliament further adjourns to Oct 19 [1]

The Legislative Assembly of Tonga, which was set to resume sitting today has been further adjourned to Monday, 19 October.
The adjournment is to allow parliamentary committees to work on legislative matters that have been referred to them from the House.
This included the Privilege Committee's current work on the impeachment motion against Vava’u 16 People’s Representative and Hon ‘Etuate Lavulavu, among other petitions.
While the House is not sitting, the Cabinet is expected to submit Public Bills or Amended Bills to be considered by Parliament.
The House was adjourned from Tuesday, 6 October.
