OTA centre marks Mental Health Week [1]

Students of the ‘Ofa Tui moe ‘Amanaki Disability Centre at the Tonga Red Cross Society headquarters held a party to mark Mental Health Week in Nuku’alofa today, Thursday 8 October.
World Mental Health Day is marked annually on 10 October. Tonga is holding awareness programs over several days under a theme, 'Dignity in Mental Health'.
Polikalepo Kefu, TRCS Communication Officer, said the centre will also join an event on Friday, 9 October at the Nuku’alofa square.
“OTA has more than 60 students in the school who we pick up and drop off at their homes throughout Tongatapu after daily activities at the centre,” he said.
The Mental Health Organising Committee includes the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders such as Tonga Red Cross.
