Miss Heilala creativity delights crowd [1]

A show of fantastic creative island creation costumes, colourful sarong wear and talent delighted a full house at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall last night, during the final judging events of the Miss Heilala 2015 Pageant, before the crowning takes place tonight Friday, 10 July.
One of the 14 contestants has pulled out of the pageant. Miss Nikua Group Australia Kiela Folaumoetu’i was unwell and hospitalised yesterday.
The islands creation evening - always a highlight of the Miss Heilala Pageant - got off to another slow start one hour behind schedule, but this was an improvement on the previous judging event, which was two hours late in starting.
The show was worth waiting for. In the final judging events the 13 contestants were looking their best and showing off some fantastic and dramatic costumes. The night began with the talent, sarong and ended with the unique contemporary island creation costumes followed by the top seven in each category announced in random order.
Miss Leiola-Brittne Fuimaono is doing well after winning the Miss Tau’olunga competition and placing in all three events last night. While, Miss Bou’s Fashion ‘Eva Laurenson the winner of the interview was again placed in two of the categories.

Island Creation: Miss Tonga Australia-Maria Kolo, Miss 'Unuaki 'o Tonga Royal Institute-Jessie Malupo with Miss Bou's Fashion, Miss Kele'a Tonga, Miss Malo e Lelei Travel and Miss Leiola.
Sarong: Miss Appraxus NZ 2015-Lavinia Finau with Miss Kele'a Tonga, Miss Billfish, Miss Bou's Fashion, Miss Leiola, Miss ‘Unuaki 'o Tonga Royal Institute and Miss Malo e Lelei Travel.
A float parade to be held at 11am on Saturday, 11 July will start from Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium and travel through the Nuku'alofa CBD to the domestic wharf on Vuna Road, concluding the Heilala Festival.
