Miss Leiola wins tau‘olunga competition [1]

Miss Leiola Brittne Fuimaono (21) won the Miss Heilala tau’olunga dancing competition and best costume out of 14 contestants on Monday night 6 July, at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall.
The first runner up was Miss Appraxus NZ Lavinia Finau, Miss Kele’a Tonga Manutu'ufanga Cocker as second runner up and Miss ‘Unuaki ‘o Tonga Jessie Malupo, third runner up.
The competition which also showcased a range of beautifully made tau’olunga costumes worn by the contestants with the best costume awarded to Miss Leiola.
Meanwhile, Miss Bou’s Fashion Eva Laurenson won the pageant's first judging category of the interview that was first held on Monday morning.

The pageant continues on Thursday night 9 July with the third judging category of the talent, sarong and island creation competition, a highlight of the pageant.
The new Miss Heilala will be crowned during a ball on Friday night 10 July.
This week’s pageantry will end on Saturday morning 11 July from Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium to the domestic wharf on the Nuku'alofa waterfront.
