Tonga U20’s beat Namibia 45-11 [1]

The Tonga U20’s squad ran in an impressive 8 tries to defeat Namibia 45 – 11 at the World U20 Rugby Trophy tournament last Saturday, May 16 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The game was competitive at first, the Namibians trailing 18 – 11 at half-time. The second-half however was a different story, Tonga scoring 27 points without reply. Tongan Number 8 Sione Vailanu was cited as a standout player, Vailanu scoring two tries in the match.
The victory follows up on Tonga U20’s 35 – 16 win over Hong Kong last week. The Tonga U20’s will play Canada tomorrow May 20. If the boys win, they will automatically qualify for the Trophy final.
The Under-20’s rugby trophy is a tournament for 8 second-tier teams. The teams include Canada, Fiji, Georgia, Hong Kong, Namibia, Potugal, Tonga and Uruguay.
