Tonga High School and Tonga College first combined prize giving [1]

The Duces and top students of Tonga High School and Tonga College received their awards from Prince Ata, at their first combined annual prize giving ceremony at Teufaiva Stadium today, Tuesday 2 December.
The prize giving marks the end of the school year for government schools.
Tonga High School
Prince Ata awarded the prizes for Tonga High School Dux, Pauline Fakahiku-‘o-‘Uiha Fa’otusia (17).
A Form 7 student, her prizes included best student in chemistry, biology and mathematics with statistics, first in her class and a special annual award of NZD$1,000 from the Tonga High School Ex-Students Papaioea Chapter Palmerston North.
She was also awarded one of King Tupou VI’s prizes for Best Student in Science receiving $1,000 pa’anga.
‘Ailine Heti Teumohenga (18) the Proxime Accessit received an award of $1,200. Her prizes included best student in mathematics with calculus and physics.
Tonga College
The Dux for Tonga College 2014 was Naulangi William Vance Finau (18) who came first in his Form 7 class.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the Minister for Education and Training Hon Dr 'Ana Taufe'ulungaki, teachers and parents.
