Alumni of Tonga College around the world celebrated their school’s 132nd anniversary last Saturday November 1.
In the United States, over 300 people gathered in Fraser City, California, for an Alumni Anniversary Ball and fundraiser, at the Crown Plaza Hotel, attended by Prince Tungi, a nephew of the King of Tonga.
Tonga College is an all-boys government school that was established in 1882 by King Taufa’ahau Tupou I. It is the second oldest school in Tonga after Tupou College.
Today the high school boasts over a thousand students. The school is notable for its sporting success in rugby and prominence among civil servants.
