Hahake primary schools dance at 'Atele [1]

Beautiful traditional dances were performed by young students from over 10 Government Primary Schools from the Hahake District of Tongatapu at 'Atele today.
The annual cultural program organised for all Government Primary Schools in Tongatapu is to teach students the importance of Tonga's traditional dances, while preparing for the King's Coronation in July next year.
Dances today included the Me’etu’upaki, Lakalaka, Ma’ulu’ulu, ‘Otuhaka and Tafi performed by primary schools from Fua’amotu, Ha’asini, Tu'aliku, Holonga, Malapo, Folaha, Longoteme, Vaini, Lapaha, Hoi, Veitongo, Talafo’ou, Nukuleka, Kolonga, Navutoka, Afa, Mu’a, 'Atele and the Ha’amonga.
Organised by the Ministry of Education and Training, the program began on Wednesday, October 29, with primary schools in the Hihifo District. The program ends on November 4 with performances by schools in the Nuku’alofa area at the Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium.
