Tonga and Thailand strengthen ties [1]

Tonga and Thailand are deepening diplomatic relations after discussing potential areas of cooperation particularly in tourism and agriculture, in Canberra on September 5.
Princess Latufuipeka Tuku’aho, Tonga’s High Commissioner to Australia and accredited Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, hosted Suchada Thaibuthao, the Director-General of Thailand’s International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) and delegation.
The delegation discussed agriculture and tourism technical cooperation that would benefit Tonga. They are expected to visit Nuku'alofa before the end of the year.
International training courses offered annually under the Royal Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs are available for Tongans to apply for.
