Tongans were treated to a Chinese cultural performance by a touring Chongqing Arts Troupe at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall, on Saturday, 21 June.
The troupe's two hour show ‘China Impression’ left the audience with a colourful impression of the life and the culture of the Chinese.
Performances included the Tufia Ethnic Group; a Mongolian dance; Happy Life; Greeting for Sun Rising; Chinese opera dance; and Wind from the Pacific.
There were also performances on Chinese string instruments, the Erfu and the Pipa, along with a martial arts presentation of the Chinese Kung Fu.
The Nuku'alofa performance was part of Pacific tour by the Chongqing Arts Troupe.
