Tourism Tonga appoints Marketing Manager [1]

Tourism Tonga has appointed a new marketing manager, Australian Jenny-Lee Stefas.
The government organisation is responsible for marketing Tonga as a tourism destination.
Jenny-Lee has 20 years of experience in destination development and marketing management roles in tourism. Her great uncle Norman Pyne was the Acting Governor of Ha’apai in 1923.
Jenny-Lee stated “I’m really looking forward to working with the industry to help grow our tourism offering and increase visitation to the Kingdom of Tonga as a year round tourism destination”.
Another addition to the Tourism Tonga team is marketing officer kiwi educated Tupouseini Taumoepeau.
“I have always wanted to come back to Tonga after my studies to work with the community here towards building a better future for the generation of today. Tourism is a huge part of Tonga’s economy and I am very much looking forward to working with the Tonga Tourism team to help grow and strengthen tourism here”.
She has worked with Pacific Media in Auckland and media in Nuku'alofa after studying Communication and Pacific Journalism at the Auckland University of Technology.
Tourism Tonga was established to encourage local tourism by strategically marketing the Kingdom of Tonga as a global tourism destination.
It is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing Tonga's destination marketing and development programs.
