Father charged with causing grievous injury to daughter

Cardinal Mafi and others who led the minority crowd in 2015 to prevent the ratification of the United Nation's Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) said they needed "need more time to talk about what it might mean". So...what happened? They showed incredible leadership in forcing Tonga to reject a commitment that all but 6 other countries in the world have made. Where is their leadership now in dealing with the epidemic of violence against women and children currently unfolding in Tonga? We have to act now, yet those who so passionately opposed CEDAW sit in silence.
