Two tropical depressions forming in the South Pacific may possibly turn into Tropical Cyclones over the next few days, which could affect Tonga early next week, Tonga's chief meteorological officer advised.

Ashika Relief Fund distributes $1.1million to families
Nuku'alofa, Tonga:
The distribution has begun of the $1.1 million pa'anga Ashika Relief Fund to the next of kin of the 74 people who were lost at sea, and the 54 survivors from the sinking of the MV Princess Ashika in Ha'apai waters on August 5, 2009.

Australia commits AUD$7m for Tonga health support
Nuku'alofa, Tonga:
The Australian Government has committed AUD$7 million dollars for three years funding of a new Health Systems Support Program with Tonga's Ministry of Health, focussing on key priority health areas such as reducing the prevalence of non communicable diseases in the country and will help to improve community health care.
