The Ministry of Internal Affairs invites applications for the following vacant positions in its Women's Affairs division:
Post Title: 1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Women's Affairs division). Placed at Band K of the Public Service Band Structure (TOP $34,575 per annum).
Job Purpose: To strengthen the Women'd Affairs Division’s capacity to review and implement the existing Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the Revised National Policy for Gender and Development (RNPGAD), Family Protection ACT (FPA) and other related policies, work plans and strategies. To regularly provide evidence-based reports on the status of implementation, progress to outcomes and provide recommendations to improve service delivery.
Requirements: University Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Social Development or any related field. Masters degree in Development Studies Sustainability, Social Science and/or other related field. Three to five years M&E related experience in development, project management, policy administration or related field.
Post Title: 2. Policy and Legislation Officer. Placed at Band J of the Public Service Band
Structure (TOP 39,300.00 per annum)
Job Purpose: To ensure that the Women’s Affairs Division achieves its objectives by providing legal advice to the Ministry, Council and Advisory Bodies, on the implementation, monitoring, evaluations and reviews of legislation and national, regional and international plans and commitments, on women’s empowerment and gender equality.
Requirements: 3 years minimum at a senior legal position, gender, policy or related field. Extensive knowledge of public policy and legislation. Bachelor in Law (LLB) or any related field. Desirably, a Masters in Law, Public Policy Social Science or any related field. Ability to convey ideas analytically and clearly in both Tongan and English (written and spoken).
Post Title: 3. Family Protection Act (FPA) Coordinator. Placed at Band K of the Public Service Band Structure (TOP 26,673.00) per annum
Job Purpose: To ensure that the Women’s Affairs Division objectives are achieved through the effective Planning Coordination and implementation and reporting of the Family protection Act.
Requirements: 2 years work experience in project management, social services and administration (administration role). University Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences or relevant field. Good computer skills competency, including Word, Excel and Power-Point.
