Operational Meteorologist Fellowships
The Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications (MEIDECC) now invites eligible applicants to submit Expressions of Interests for undertaking Operational Meteorologist Training Courses – 2 positions to be conducted at the Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre (BMTC), Melbourne, Australia for 9 months commencing in January 2018; and with the view to strengthen the Tonga National Weather Forecasting Centre at the Tonga Meteorology Department (TMD), Fua’amotu on their return.
Interested applicants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to undertake this course.
Curriculum Vitae (should include a description of education and general qualifications, experience in similar conditions etc. and the names, business contacts and email addresses of three referees).
The successful candidate must have an:
- Undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or equivalent majoring in Mathematics with Grade Point average of 2.4 or better)
- Must be in the age group between 20-35yrs.
