Applications are invited
for PREP Project funded Operational Meteorologist Course
The Ministry of Meteorology, Energy, Information, Disaster Management, Environment, Climate Change and Communications (MEIDECC) now invites eligible applicants to submit Expressions of Interests for Meteorologist Training Courses – 2 positions to be conducted as follows:
- 1 position at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Philippines for 12 months commencing in 17 October 2017 to 10 October 2018, and
- 1 position at the Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre (BMTC), Melbourne, Australia for 10months commencing in January 2018,
with the view to strengthen the Tonga National Weather Forecasting Centre at the Tonga Meteorology Department (TMD), Fua’amotu on their return.
Interested applicants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to undertake this course.
Curriculum Vitae (should include a description of education and general qualifications, experience in similar conditions etc. and the names, business contacts and email addresses of three referees).
The successful candidate must have a:
- Undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science or equivalent majoring in Mathematics with Grade Point average of 2.8 or better)
- Must be in the age group between 20-35yrs.
