Fiema'u 'a e kau laukonga fakatonutonu, ngaue fakataimi 'o a'u ki he mahina 'e 6

The Attorney General’s Office requires the services of several people who are skilled in reading and understanding Tongan and English text. The job is to read through draft consolidated laws that are being finalised now to be included in the next edition of the Revised Edition of the Laws of Tonga.

The job entails working in small teams at the Attorney General’s Office, sitting at a desk and reading the many pages of laws, marking any printing and other possible mistakes so that these can be looked at and corrected by the lawyers before publication.

Precise training will be given. No experience is necessary. Very good written language skills are required, and some familiarity with computers. All applicants will be tested to find those most suitable to this quiet, precise work.

Pay will be by the hour at the public service rate.

If you wish to apply, please do so by emailing us at akatoa [at] crownlaw [dot] gov [dot] to or sending an application letter addressed to:

Mr Neil Adsett,
Law Revision Commissioner,
Attorney General’s Office,
First Floor Taumoepeau Building,

and we will arrange a time for the ability test. Applications are to be made on or before Friday 18th August 2017.
