Senior Fisheries Officer

  • Bachelor Degree in Economic, Fisheries Science, Marine Affairs, Fisheries Management , Business Administration or any relevant field from a recognized institution with at least 3 years of relevant working experience in senior level OR
  • Masters and/or higher qualification degree in Economics, Fisheries Science, Fisheries Management, Business Administration or any relevant field from a recognized institution and with 1 year of relevant working experience at senior level
  • Specialised training in Fisheries Economics and Fisheries Science and Marine Affairs would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Public Sector reform and also an ability to interact with work colleagues and stakeholders. Familiarisation and understanding of Fisheries issues will be an advantage.

Principal Fisheries Officer (Re- advertise)

Fisheries Science Division

  • Bachelor Degree in Fisheries /Marine Science/Aquaculture, Biological and Environmental Sciences or any relevant field from a recognised institution with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in senior management level in government or private sectors OR
  • Masters and /or higher qualification degree in Fisheries / Marine Science/ Aquaculture, Biological and Environmental Science from a recognised institution with at least 3 years of relevant working experience at senior management level in government or private sectors

Desirable

  • Specialised training (aquaculture training and farming activities , hatchery , marine species identification skills)
  • SCUBA Diving certificate
  • Advance tertiary course in Aquaculture Fisheries and Business management
  • Aquaculture skills (professional) – Marine and freshwater species
  • Good background on biology research
