TONGA’S annual Heilala Festival wound-up with a colourful parade in Nuku’alofa on Saturday, attracting thousands of people onto the streets to enjoy the brass bands and floats with the ten contestants, and other festival participants.
In spite of some early showers the morning cleared and turned on some bright sunshine for the event, with a rainbow over Nuku’alofa fitting the colourful celebration.
Honolulu girl, Paea Williams (25), Miss Leiola Duty Free, was crowned Miss Heilala 2009-10, on Friday night, July 31.
